Smith is kind of cool as a first name. I also like Miller. Boring surnames can make really nice first names :P It doesn't matter that it's popular as a surname, it's rare as a given name. Oh and Samantha's boyfriend on Sex and the City was names Smith (I think it was just a nickname, though). Just a bit of trivia :P
