Re: Belinda
Not a huge fan. It makes me think of a person with kitchy tastes. Like she'd wear costume jewelry and out-dated clothes and have ugly knick-knacks all over her house. And lawn ornaments. Plus I really dislike the sound of Linda, so Belinda just seems like a frilly elaboration of it.It also reminds me of an anthropology professor I had because it was her first name. I pretty strongly associate it with her since she's the only one I've ever met. (Although the image described above doesn't match the professor.)

ooooomgYour description of Belinda's kitcshy taste has made me love it even more! Now I'm imagining a Belinda to look more like Leslie Hall than Titania the fairy queen. http://www.lesliehall.com/ mad props to Leslie, she's my hero

hahaAs I was describing it I thought, I know this is going to actually be appealing to someone. Just not me, although it does make for a great character name.Omg, I clicked on that link, and was not prepared! That's not quite the Belinda I had in mind... perhaps she's more of a mix of what I described and my anthro prof (who was kind of soft-spoken and hippie-ish). I just googled my professor and her name is actually spelled Bilinda. I'd forgotten about that.
