Re: Damian, Zarek, Alexander

Yes, I agree about the blandness of Damian Alexander. I mean, it has a great sound and cadence, but it's as if it needs something to spice it up a little.
See, I think this is why my wife has let me loose on baby names. I love her dearly, but her name choices are mostly pretty conventional -- Alexander, Sebastian, Benjamin, Trevor, Jacob, Michael. All perfectly wonderful names, but none of them really jump out at me. But when she hit on Damian, that struck a chord with me, and that's why it's our leading contender now. Meanwhile, I'm off throwing all kinds of fanciful girl names at her, and she's been wonderfully indulgent and patient with me, bless her.
I can appreciate how the movie ruined the name Damian for a lot of people. What I find odd is that *my* name, Adrian, was the name of the son of Satan in Rosemary's Baby, yet no one seems to make that connection the way they do with Damian! Somehow, my name got off the hook. All I get are the stupid "Yo, Adrian!" jokes. :)
