That's a tough one. I love
Amelia, but it's getting mighty popular. By the time I get around to kids, it could be number one. But it just sounds so kind, warm and friendly, like a freshly-baked oatmeal cookie. It's like the name
Claire, I can't imagine a mean
Amelia.
Amelia Claire would actually be a real nice combo. So simple and sweet, like pale blue gingham.
Alice is great too. I love it's cool wedgewood-blue intelligence and poise. I love all the literary ties to it. It reminds me of writing desk made of dark wood and black pots of ink and silver tea trays laden with finger sandwiches.
I think I like
Amelia best, in the end. I'm a sucker for a nice-person name.
