I never really cared for Alison much. It was overly used in the U.S. in the 80's once "Kate and Allie," hit the air. There was an explosion of Alexandra / Alexa / Alisons.

But it is a nice classic. I only like it spelled with one "L" since it's a variant of underappreciated Alice.
