Cecil is gorgeous. Love it. I don't recommend it a lot only because people here in the U.S. pronounce it "SEE-sil" (ick). I only like it pronounced, "SESS-l."
I don't like Red as a full name for either gender. But I love Redmond for a boy. Cecil and Redmond, nn Red, would be terrific.

I'm from Australia and pronounce it the British way - 'SESS-il.' I only like this pronunciation as well. :)
