I don't mind it, but it just seems a bit dull and urgh for me, because I've known three Lucilles (one my age, two about the same age as my stepsisters, so around 8 - 11) and they have all been
Lucy pretty much all the time, to the point where I thought the two little ones, who are friends, were named
Lucy and
Lucille nn
Lucy - but they were both Lucilles.
Granted, I'm in Australia and nicknames are almost unavoidable, but
Lucy and then subsequently
Luce and Lu /
Lou are inevitable.
Lucille,
Lucinda,
Lucie,
Lucia,
Luciana,
Lucretia,
Lucrezia, etc will all see the light of day thanks to
Lucy's rise.
And here I think all would be called
Lucy /
Lucie. The only one I can see being a full name is
Lucia.
(Also,
Lucy is one name that just looks more ridiculous-looking when I type it out multiple times. It's cute, though. I really love it.)
