Re: Wilhelmina (ETA nns)
in reply to a message by Bear
Thank you so much! I was wondering if anyone would like the nn Billie for a girl, but I wanted to see if it would be brought up. I agree that it's a great nn for a girl. I also like Mina, Minnie (I know that Minnie is quite sweet as a nn, but I always picture a very outgoing and colorful young woman), and Willa.
The combos you came up with are great, and there are so many I never would have thought of on my own!
Wilhelmina Alix (or Alice, for that matter) are both gorgeous.
Wilhelmina Ishbel, Wilhelmina Isibeal, Wilhelmina Swan, Wilhelmina Clothilde and Wilhelmina Blanche are my absolute favorites from the bunch.
I like/love*-
Wilhelmina Lux*
Wilhelmina Ines*
Wilhelmina Sophie
Wilhelmina Ione
Wilhelmina Afton
Wilhelmina Fleur
Wilhelmina Angele*
Wilhelmina Swan* -This makes me think of the Ballet.
Wilhelmina Erzsebet*
Wilhelmina Nadia* -Surprisingly I've never liked the name Nadia, but it works so well here.
Wilhelmina Chenoa ("sheh-NO-uh," Nat. Am.)
Wilhelmina Glynis*
Wilhelmina Muriel*
Wilhelmina Ailsa
Wilhelmina Eilidh
Wilhelmina Blaithin* ("blah-HEEN," = little flower)
Wilhelmina Ishbel* / Isibeal* ("ISH-bayl") -Both of these names flow together so well, it's amazing.
Wilhelmina Lilias
Wilhelmina Damaris
Wilhelmina Betrys
Wilhelmina Astrid
Wilhelmina Hendrika
Wilhelmina Isabeau*
Wilhelmina Elodie*
Wilhelmina Edwige
Wilhelmina Ghislaine
Wilhelmina Clothilde* -I don't know exactly how to describe it, but this combo and Wilhelmina Blanche both have such a medieval feeling.
Wilhelmina Germaine
Wilhelmina Blanche* / Blanchefleur*
Wilhelmina Gervaise
Wilhelmina Margarethe*
Wilhelmina Solveig* ("SOHL-vay")
Wilhelmina Antonetta*
Wilhelmina Edith
Wilhelmina Idony
Wilhelmina Kestrel*
