I'm from Australia too, so like Chrisell, I think of the malted chocolate powder you use to make a drink. I do love the sound of the name though, but I fear that using it in Australia would cause a lot of teasing for the boy. That said, if I was in another country, then I'd consider using it. It's a really nice name.
