Re: Chloe'
I don't think there is a legitimate pronounciation if the accent is next to the e. However, I found your comment on Chloè in the comments section very ignorant. Are you aware how horrendously ethnocentric you come off when you call another language stupid? You've got a lot of growing up to do and i hope you realize how small you sound.

Oh yeah, look at some other comments for the name Chloe, with out the accent mark. Scream Clown? Stupid? Old-fashioned? Now, I know I was/am ignorant, but are these not ignorant also?

Yeah, it was/is ignorant, but I am getting very annoyed with many people. What does 'ethnocentric' mean? If it means what I think it means, it means I am slamming the French. I don't mena to, but I don't get why we can't pronounce names all the same. (That probably sound very stupid, but it's waht I'm feeling.)

That not only sounds stupid, it IS stupid, and doesn't become less so because "that's how you feel". There are hundreds of languages in the world, and they're not going all disappear in favour of English just because you're unhappy with how your name is pronounced.

Eth·no·cen·tric: characterized by or based on the attitude that one's own group is superior. That's not the way language works, sorry. we can't change thousands of years of history because it's more convenient for you.By the way, I was mad is not a defense for ignorance.

I KNOW 'I was mad' isn't a defense! I'm only saying I was, and I said what I felt. Surey the people on this site should know all about doing that hmm? And "...because it's more convenietn for you." That stings. I'm not trying to change history, that would be hard, adn it would clearly change everything. I'm just upset. Haven't you ever blown your lid at some one? Like a brother or sister? I knwo you guys/girls aren't my brothers and sisters -trust me, my sibs are MUCH more annoying some times than half the people on this thread alone put together! And besides, I'm not the only one who's had this problem. There are som other kids in my grade who's teachers can't comprehend somthing as simple as name.
