Re: Sarah, Ermengarde, Gertrude
in reply to a message by Sabrina Fair
Sarah - My own name. I don't like having it for several reasons, but recognise it's a very pretty name. In the book/movie, it's spelled Sara. I much prefer Sarah, though! Some suggestions:
Sarah Elaine - My own name, I couldn't resist.
Sarah Margery
Sarah Hortensia
Sarah June
Sarah Juliet
Sarah Eglantine
Sarah Penelope
If you couldn't tell, I prefer Sarah paired with a more unusual/odd name.
Ermengarde [g] - Wow...I like this a lot, actually. Very pretty. Some suggestions:
Ermengarde Joan
Ermengarde Sarah
Ermengarde Freya
Ermengarde Rosa
Ermengarde June
Ermengarde Clare
Ermengarde Celia
Gertrude - My new love, coincidentally. My favourite pairing for it at the moment is Gertrude Catherine. Other ideas:
Gertrude Emilia
Gertrude Ophelia - Waaaaaay too Hamlet? Probably.
Gertrude Melisande
Gertrude Millicent
Gertrude Jane
Gertrude Margery
Gertrude Katharina
Gertrude Beatrice
Gertrude Philippa
Rebecca - Nothing wrong with it, but it's never really grabbed me. Sort of blah. Sounds also like an annoying bitch in high school, esp. with the nickname Becky. Suggestions:
Rebecca Julie
Rebecca Margaret
Rebecca Katherine
Rebecca Abigail
Rebecca Salome
Rebecca Constance
Rebecca Jeanine
