And I'm not even American or English. If it was a Swedish name, I would pronounce it as "Shie-nah" according to Swedish pronounciation rules, but according to English rules it must be "Shay-nah".
Are people just being lazy? Or have they met too many complicated names and don't trust the most straightforward way anymore? Or are there more dyslectic people than we know?
