I prn it AY-da because thats the way the girl I knew prn it. I wouldnt mnd it being IE-da, but thats a whole different name and I dont like the way that it looks. (Ida)-Tate

I associate Aida with the musical, and I often have heard it as eye-EE-dah. But I've also heard Aida (on a Hispanic baby) prn. EYE-dah or EYE-ih-dah, almost. Both are pretty, but I do prefer Ada (AY-dah). I probably wouldn't use the latter, though, due to the sudden overuse of the similar Ava. :(

I say it with three syllables, not like either one you guys use. I say ah-EE-da, but with a soft AH close to an EYE but not . . . like the opera. It's nice but kind of heavy to me.
