Both for girls, naturally. What do you think of them? I'd pronounce Carola as kuh-ROH-lah and Carmina as car-MEE-nah. Usually, I much prefer Carole to Carola, but Carola's appealing to me today.

And, any combo ideas coming to mind for either?

My daughter's name is Carol. Several of her mid-East relatives think it's Carola (or Carolina). I like both of them really, so don't bother to correct them (any more!)

Carola makes me think of Corolla. My mom has a Toyota Corolla. :-/ Carmina isn't bad, but I prefer Carmen.

Carola reminds me of the car and Carmina of the opera Carmina Burana (sp?).

Otherwise, I'd like Carmina but not Carola so much. What about Carmela / Carmella?

Carmel sounds just like "caramel," and Carmella like Carmello. :-/ Otherwise, I'd quite like them.

Carola makes me think of Adam Carola. I don't really care for Carola or Carole though. Carmina is pretty.

I'm not a fan of either one. I don't care for names that end in -ina, as a rule, and Carola as you pronounce it sounds a bit harsh. I'd pronounce the name CARE-oh-luh (like Carol with an "a" on the end).

Carmina is interesting. I could probably learn to like it, but Carmela is much more appealing to me.

I love Carole, but Carola reminds me too much of the Toyota car--Corolla.

I prefer Carol to Carola, but since a girl who used to go to my school tragically died a few months ago who was called Carola I like it more. Stupid reason, I know.
I like Carmina, a lot better than Carmen imo!
