What are your thoughts on Katina? It is possibly the name with the biggest spike in popularity, debuting at #117 in 1972. I find that fascinating.

I really don’t like it. Even though it’s a real name it looks like a typo for Katrina or Karina.

Extraordinary! It looks like a spelling error for either Karina or Katrina: I foresee a lifetime of explanations.

I always find names that enter the charts above 400 interesting. I like Katina and Kat or Kate are good nicknames

What other names do you know of that entered above 400??
If you go to the Popularity section and find the US lists, there's a section called "Extremes" that ranks the Top Rises over 1 year, 3 years, etc. It shows you some names that had the most dramatic debuts.
