Evelyn. It's not a bad name. But I don't understand why *this* name in particular has been rising since the late 80s and now is in the top 10. Why do so many people think it's so great when similar names are considered ugly and old fashioned? It baffles me.

I think it coincides with the rise of Ev- and Av- names, like Ava, Eva, Evie, Everly, Aviana, etc. Plus, it has the trendy -lyn ending.
