I feel like Viana would be pronounced differently—more like Liana or Rhianna. I think the first A is necessary to get the correct pronunciation.

Differently than Vaiana or Vi-Ana? Cause I agree with the first.

If this name is pronounced Vay-Ana, then I don’t like it.

Differently from Vaiana—sorry for the confusion!

I personally pronounce Vaiana as "Vie-anna" in my head.

Oh I see. Yeah, I don’t pronounce Vaiana that way in my head, I hear “vay-ana”.

“Vie-anna” to me would be Vianna and “Vie-ana” is Viana.

I think Diana is the only name that can do that. Everything else _iana would be _ee-ana.
