I can't find data online for Gere. The gender, how it's said, and what culture/language it's from eludes me. Please do share if you know.

Gere appears among the Boys Under 15; the school has two languages of instructionL English and Afrikaans. My guess about Gere, and it is only a guess, is that it's a shortened form of Gerald, Gerrit, Gerry ... and that he is an Afrikaans speaker. Canielle, a few posts below, sees it as a lnfn and associates it with an actor named Richard Gere; she usually gets things right.

I like most of the boys names except for Gere which is another last name first name and in my mind too associated with Richard. Of the girls I love Xiane and Talitha.

I love Emile and really like Talitha (and prefer it to Tabitha).

Xiane is captivating. Louis is handsome.

I've never been able to divorce Simeon from "simian."
