A bit overdone, I think, but perfectly fine. I'd never use it, but I don't dislike it.

I think it's terrible tbh. Especially Greg. It feels like one of those names for a cartoon caveman, like Grug or Grog.
And it's one of those names that makes me think "You carried a baby for 9 months, worked hard to bring a new life into the world, committed yourself to nurture this new creature for years or even decades of your life, and when you had the chance to give this precious and irreplaceable being a name the best you could come up with was... 'Greg'?"ETA: it also reminds me of Leigh Bardugo calling her magic users 'Greg' in the form of Grisha.

My abusive ex's name. Sorry if that is tmi... I wouldn't touch this name with a 49.5 ft pole, so to speak. But even before him I was never into it though. Reminds me of Eggs 🥚🥚🥚 nothing wrong with eggs, but they are good for breakfast and not for names.

Like it, but then it's my nephews name. Solid classic, not overused but familiar and comfortable.

I’ve always liked the name, Gregory; I also like the name, Jeffrey/Geoffrey. I’ve seen just Gregg with the spelling, which I also like. But, if you have a one syllable last name, I might look for something that wouldn’t get shortened to a one syllable first name. Just a thought.☺️

Gregory with the nickname Greg is a very nice name, in my opinion; I think it’s very handsome.

Hi!The first time that I've heard the name Gregory was as a child in the TV series 'House, M.D.' (2004-2012) where the main character is Gregory House. Later in the middle school a boy in my school was (and is) a Gregory. Obviously then I found more famous Gregory such as Gregory Peck and so on. Anyways my first image about Gregory is still House. Gregorio instead is the more immediate form of this name that has a Medieval and religious vibe here in Italy because of many Popes who chose this name when they were elected. Gregory is fussy, troublesome, aloof
Gregorio is religious, heavy, severeRecently in this board I came across the name Greer. I much prefer it rather than Greg.I noticed that Gregory is currently quite rare among newborns in the Anglosphere. In Italy instead Gregorio is coming back: in 1999 it was #148, in 2017 it was #80 and in 2021 it was #83.

I like Gregory; in my experience it always shortens to Greg, which I like even more. If I wanted a Greg son, I'd name him Gregor, but if I named him Gregor in the first place, I'd hope it wouldn't attract a nn at all.

I've always liked it. Maybe not enough to want to use Gregory as a fn, but maybe for a middle. It sounds like a capable, outgoing, handy type of guy.
