Help[Opinions] What do you think of Rowan for a girl?
WDYT of Rowan for a girl. I love it for a boy, but I also like it for a girl? Do you think Rowena or Rowanne is better?

Unpopular opinion but I never saw Rowan as a boy name. It’s pretty girly to me. I don’t really like it all that much but something about the sound just gives off feminine vibes. I guess it can work on a boy but I feel like it’s more for girls.
I could be biased though, because the only Rowan I met was a girl.

Truly hate it on a girl, very much a boys name, and Rowena - I pronounce it ro-ehn-ah - is so much more appealing on a girl.

It was my favorite guy name for a long time. Then I learned that people think it's unisex. I was mildly traumatized, as one always is (joke).
I still think it comes off a little bit 70s/80s-style 'mannish' as a gal name, sort of like Robin and Casey. I still like it as a guy name.
But I'm getting accustomed to it I guess, since there is really no reason a tree name can't be unisex.
I'll never really like it for a gal, I just don't like the sound for gal names - it's like Joan and Sloan.
So I'd lean towards Rowenna (I agree with Mirèio, I think it sounds nicer than Rowena - and also more similar to Rowan) instead. But if you like the unisex vibe Rowan is better than Rowanne.

Yes! I agree that the sound of Rowenna sounds better! But I like it spelled Rowena but pronounced ro-en-uh

Oh, yeah I think that's legit - pronounce Rowena as Ro-en-uh. I like it.

Rowan for a boy is awesome but for a girl not the best. Rowena is better and Rowanne. I think Rowan is better for a boy.

Rowan is all boy to me. Rowena is lovely, though I don't like it enough to consider. Rowanne looks and sounds awkward.
