I've had 2 pretty good friends named April and one close acquaintance.
All were extroverted & good-humored. Not boring. So I think that is why I have a great impression of April. I don't think I would like the name April otherwise, because it starts with ape. One of my friends April was facetiously called Apie by some of her other friends. Which was funny/ironic, not insulting.
Avril seems to me like a dodge of the "ape" sound if used by people who don't speak French, and also it seems celebrityish because of Avril Lavigne, and I don't love it. It's okay.
April Lily is sweet, but I wouldn't do that stuttery thing with the consecutive sounds, it'd bother me if it was my name. Maybe April Violet or April Jacinta, if I had to make a combo with a floral name.
