Eliza and Iestyn have been very careful with the associations of their children after Isabella's tragedy. Edmund was introduced to Aline Saint-Pierre, the daughter of a family friend, and married after a careful courtship. At their wedding, Peter met her younger cousin Yvette and was quickly smitten. His parents considered this to be a safe option and within the year the pair was engaged.
Anthony and Myrtle had two more daughters, but Ida's birth was hard for Myrtle. She died of a fever a few days after birth, leaving Anthony a widower with five young children.
After several years as a widower and single father to Robina, Roderick has remarried - to Lydie Beauclerc, who had been Robina's governess. Robina already saw her as something of a second mother and was nothing but thrilled. The birth of their first child took a bit more adjustment - in this respect she is used to having her father's full attention. But she has by now come around to both of her younger siblings.
An illness strikes the family of Simon and Delphine. Simon and their only son Roy do not recover. Delphine, alone with the girls, feels tempted to go back to her old criminal ways without the security of her husband. But she doesn't want to endanger the girls. She finds the rest of the family to be supportive, particularly Lord Anthony, still dealing with his own loss.-----https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/120652
