I don’t really like Susan! But I do like Susanna and I like Suzanne a little more than Susan. They both have really lovely meanings though.
Karen is ruined for a very long time for obvious reasons, and admittedly I was never a big fan of the name, but it’s actually not bad! Karina would be cooler though.
I’d go with Karen as a middle name. By the time the child gets older the usage of Karen as a insult will probably be extinct, but you never know. Can I cheat and use Suzanne as the first name? If not, I’d go with Karen and use the nickname Ren.
