It would seem odd to name a kid after a city that is most famous for being destroyed. Maybe someone unfamiliar with the Torah and Bible might use it if they like the sound.

It would be kind of weird... but the sounds are cool.

I actually really like Jericho, and I think it’s a cool name... I wouldn’t use it, but it does have an appealing sound to me.
And I know all about the story of the walls of Jericho, but it doesn’t repel me like some names... I’m not exactly sure why either.
Other than the phonetic sounds, i suppose.
