It's a great name! I'm more used to playing around with it as a middle (it goes with just about anything), but it is a sophisticated first name.
It does, however, make me think of the
Lost episode, "The Constant," where Desmond is flashing back and forth through time and he has to find Faraday at Oxford University in the 90s and tell him "I know about Eloise!" in order to gain his trust. (I know that synopsis sounds absolutely bonkers if you've never watched the show, but it is one of the best episodes in the series - and it's also my first association with the name Eloise.)
