My friend who is in her 30s has a bf named Lorne in his 30s. Wdyt? It's soo ugly to me.

I don't think of it as particularly ugly but I guess I see how you could see it that way. I think of it as kind of romantic and vintage.My friend married a guy named Norman. I was appalled.

Lorna DooneLorna Doone popped into my head as soon as I saw your post. Although Lorne is masculine, it still holds a romantic historical feel with a sense of wildness too it. I think some people would want to pronounce the "e," which could create pronunciation issues, but I like it otherwise.
