I like Bartholomew! Its -mew ending is so spunky and friendly to my ears!!
About the nicknames I really like Barry for it.
Bart is just 'Simpson', Bartie is 'Harry Potter' (Barty Crouch & Barty Crouch Jr.) while Buddy is both doggy or 'Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro'.
