[Opinions] Re: Opinions on these Cornish names?
Demelza is one of my favourite names. For a long time I had her as top name for a second girl. I love the fire and feistiness of it, as well as the character connection. I really started crushing on it after watching Poldark (the newer adaptation). I also love:
Morwenna
Lamorna
Lowenna (another second girl consideration)
Elowen, although I'm not a fan of the proper Ell-OH-wen pronunciation, so I don't think I'd use it.
Senara
Rosenwyn
ZennorI really want to like Kerensa/Kerenza (espeically with the meaning), but there's something about the sound I just can't get around, it really reminds me credenza. And I like a few more Cornish names like Caja (kay-juh), Sowenna (but I do prefer Lowenna), Gwener, and Eseld. And for boys I love:
Jago (didn't realise it was in the top 1000 here)
Jory
Jowan
Sennen
Pasco
Fangirl (19) Dreaming of...
Pandora Beatrix FaeCaspian Sherlock Walter

I wonder if names like Demelza and Morwenna will increase a bit in popularity due to the newer adaptation of Poldark.I like Caja and Eseld too.

There were a few more Demelzas born in 2015, and that was just after series 1 aired, so maybe. I can see Morwenna doing the same, but perhaps a bit more. It has a softer feel that I think would appeal to some, whereas Demelza may be a little harsh for many. I've come across Disney Villain name à la Ursula, be mentioned in relation to Demelza.Damn, I'm starting to sway back to Demelza -_-.
