Not really. It's way, way too popular, and it's completely indicative of a very certain time period. A Kayley will be as dated as a Linda or a Debbie.
-What sort of person do you picture when you hear the name Kayley?
I don't have a particular image, since I've known so many.
-Do you prefer a different spelling? Are there too many variants?
The only spelling I like is Kayleigh, for two reasons. One, there's a song called "Kayleigh" by a band from the 80s called Marillion; since the song came out in 1985, that gives Kayleigh a pop culture point of reference over 20 years old, a fact that Kaylee and the like can't boast. Two, I had a friend named Kayleigh (for the song), so it's the spelling I naturally think of.
-Will it age well?
I don't want it to, but it will--same as Cheryl has. That's a 20th century invention, but it sounds natural to most people because there have been so many people called Cheryl.
