The Prompt
The arrival of three new grandchildren into the royal family was a source of joy, both for the family and for the people. But alas, life is not always sunshine and blue skies, as was proven by the separation of a royal family member and their significant other. Why did they decide to part ways? Three years have seen the wedding of Saf and the birth of a grandchild each year, one for each of the wedded royal children. As to the relationship of Cia and Harald, they had begun feeling the pressure of disapproval for their disparity in station. Cia was determined to stick it out, but Harald felt very out of place in her circles. The eyes of the realm on him became more than he wished to bear, and he broke it off. Cia was devastated, and then angry. Her twin and his wife, after an appropriate time, decided the best way to help was to set her up with a good upstanding young lord. She has been unsure, but the relationship has been progressing.

There are 3 new baby girls in the royal family! Louise and Sebastian are thrilled to welcome their third, little Lady Ginevra! Her older brothers love their new sister. The Emperor and Empress welcomed their second child, a second daughter. Emperor Wilhelm was again disappointed it was a girl and he still does not have an heir. He is now getting annoyed that his wife has not yet given him a son. Johann and Cristobal, still living in Barbados, have adopted a 1 year old daughter named Ariadne. While Ariadne does not have a title and is not recognized by the royal family officially, Louise and Sebastian have brought their children to meet their new little cousin and are so happy for Johann and Cristobal.
Archduchess Agatha and Lord Maximilian have gotten married! After Archduchess Christiana spent a year traveling the globe with her mysterious "stranger" (whom she never formally introduced to her family), he was notably absent from her twin sister's wedding and rumor has it that they have split. The Emperor Consort took a sigh of relief at this and is looking for more suitable matches for her last 2 unmarried daughters!

After the years of angst and uncertainity happy times continued to reign in Sweden as the family welcomed three new grandchildren and celebrated two marriages. First Princess Marianne married her long time boyfriend Prince Christian of Denmark. As Christian is far away from the Danish throne the couple decided to stay in Sweden and found a residence near the lake Mälaren. It was already visible during the nuptials that there was a new Prince or Princess on the way as Princess Loredana appeared with her husband, daughter and visible bump hiding under her lace dress. She wasn't however the only pregnant lady there as Athéne Bernadotte, the wife of Axel Bernadotte adopted son of the late Queen Lovisa and King Peter, was spoting similar bump. Six years after their marriage there were strong rumors going around the kingdom that the couple was infertile the latest turn of events proving everyone wrong. Guillaume Bernadotte was born on a sunny October afternoon, just a day before Prince Magnus and his wife Loredana, welcomed their second daughter Desirée.

The next year, the house of Manco welcomed four new additions to their family. Ivette had found herself pregnant again, and her second pregnancy proved even more taxing than her first. While she was not bed-ridden this time, she was constantly plagued with light-headedness and fatigue throughout the first few months, and frequently complained of back aches. As it turned out, Ivette was carrying not one child, but twins! The elder, by half an hour, was named Michele after Leonardo's late father, although in the household he was known as Michelotto; his brother was named Gabriele, both after Ivette's brother and to maintain an archangel theme. The twins' birth was welcomed with much rejoicing.
But not long after Ivette gave birth, Ferrante approached Leonardo and insisted upon an audience in private. It turned out that his lover, Ileana, was pregnant, and claimed the child to be his. While a marriage would settle the matter quickly, there was the problem of Ileana's mysterious background and lowly station. Furthermore, Ferrante confessed to his brother, he was not even entirely certain the child in her womb was truly his. In the past month, he had begun to suspect Ileana of infidelity, and had himself espied a man leave her quarters more than once. But as she remained adamant that the child was his, Ferrante had no idea what to do, and went to his brother for advice.
