As for middle names, today I think I like Dorothy Violet and Dorothy Pearl. Ooh, Dorothy Cecile!

I've never really liked it. Dorothea is better, but not by much.

It's dumpy and dowdy.

I's fine. It doesn't jump out at me as good or bad. I do, of course, think of Dorothy Gale from Kansas. :) I prefer Dorothy to Dorothea.

I don't like either but if I had to pick, I'd choose Dorothea since Dorothy is more common and also used in the Wizard of Oz.

I posted below yesterday about Dorothy Opal but didn't get much response. :( It popped into my head before I was falling asleep the other night and it's been on my mind ever since. Julia Dorothy, Dorothy Opal, Julia Dorothy Opal, etc.

I prefer Dorothy, the y at the end feels more complete and I prefer the simplicity.

I like both Dorothy and Dorothea, but I would be more likely to use Dorothea. I like Dorothea Elisabeth and Dorothea Catherine.
