[Opinions] Re: Lucy and Edgar
in reply to a message by Stacia
Hah! In years and years of mulling over that particular pair of siblings, I've never made that connection! I've actually never liked Peter, though. Hugh and Susan...hmm. Lucy, Edgar and Susan might be too Narnia-ish. And are the "oo" sounds in Lucy and Hugh or Lucy and Su / Susie / Sukie too much?

I just finished re-reading the books, so that was the first thing that hit me :o) I doubt many other people would notic.
I like Peter and Hugh, but I don't think I could use them. Peter for connotations of genitalia and Hugh...well, as much as I love it, I don't think I could use it. I don't know how many people would notice that Lucy, Susan, and Edgar were Narnia-ish. Unless all the rest of the books are made into movies... But the "oo" in Lucy and Susan together don't bother me. But I like Susan with no nn. Can you imagine having a Lu and a Su? That would be too funny. Poor kids.
