I like Maya well enough. I just prefer the more classic Maia. What I don't care for is the other trendy spellings: Mya, Myah (my dd's friend), Miah (which really looks confusing, doesn't it?).
Maya may not fit with Edith, however, it works with Rose and Bess. BTW, is Bess short for Elizabeth? It works with that as well.
