So we have problems to find a name for a girl. I really love the name Morrigan, but I think it's not a first name...
So wdyt of Morrigan? And do you have some ideas for a first name that fits with Morrigan as MN? Btw, for a boy we have Alexander Jacob. thx a lot

I think I agree that Morrigan is too much for a first name. I don't like it, I just find the sound unpleasant. It kind of reminds me of porridge (the word, I mean). Also the Morrigan is not the most charming mythological figure. I prefer Morgane (or Morgan I guess but that's more of a surname for me).
I would use something quite simple, to go with Alexander and tone down Morrigan. Like (sorry for any repeats, just take it as me seconding the suggestion):
Rose Morrigan
Alice Morrigan
Eva Morrigan
Lily Morrigan
Kate Morrigan
Bridget Morrigan / Bridie
Mary Morrigan
Kathleen Morrigan
Sophia Morrigan
Clare Morrigan
Eliza Morrigan
Isabel Morrigan
Adele Morrigan
Cecily Morrigan
Elinor Morrigan
Susan Morrigan
Lydia Morrigan
Evelyn Morrigan
Lucy Morrigan
Rosalind Morrigan
Rachel Morrigan
Abigail Morrigan

For me, Morrigan is a bit dark in feel so I wouldn't choose it as a first name, but as a middle name I think it's alright. To go with Alexander, how about...Eve Morrigan
Clarice Morrigan
Delia Morrigan
Gwyneth Morrigan
Ivy Morrigan
Jules Morrigan
Nina Morrigan
Sela Morrigan
Stella Morrigan
Sybil Morrigan
Tess Morrigan
Vera Morrigan
Willa Morrigan
Zoe MorriganETA: Veda Morrigan? I know some people hear Veda as Vadar and automatically picture Darth, but I never have. I think sweetness and "My Girl", and I like its meaning. I think Alexander and Veda would be cute together. :)

Morgan on a girl is cool, but Morrigan sounds...well, it sounds like you wanted to use Morgan but decided it was too popular, so you fluffed it up a bit. I don't care for it.

it's not like that^^ i absolutely don't like Morgan, but i really like Morrigan (and i just write it like this because the elder/original variant seems to be too complicated for other people & for a little child imo)

I like the way Morrigan looks and sounds. I like the meaning too. Unfortunately, it sounds too much like Morgan and I'm afraid it would be problematic in that regard. If Morgan had never taken off for girls, Morrigan is the sort of name I'd go for. As things stand, not so much. As a mn, it shouldn't be a problem for you. It actually makes a distinctive mn.Combos:Eve Morrigan
Daphne Morrigan

Rose Morrigan
Susanna Morrigan
Thea MorriganHope this helps. BTW, I really like Alexander.

I don't like Morrigan at all. It sounds like Morgan, a name I also dislike, plus with a wannabe-Celtic, literary-geek vibe to it.
I do like your boy's combo.Anna Morrigan

until now i never thought that people think like this about Morrigan..so thank you^^ but i love this name and i know that it isn't unproblematic, so i just take it as a MN and not as FN. Anna & Ella are quite nice, thx.
