After Christian's wife during their second pregnancy he moved back into Barrington so that he could have help with his daughter. Most days he found it difficult to leave his room but as the year passed he began to miss the time he spent with his daughter and started taking her into the nearby city for walks every few days. On one such occasion he met Miss Pauline Brooks, who works in the bakery. After eight months he proposed and she moved into Barrington with him after the wedding.
The family doesn't exactly approve, seeing how Pauline brought no dowry with her and isn't from a higher-class family, but Charlotte gets along with her rather well and Pauline is very kind.

He can have one...
Unless they live with someone else and are just mentioned, I would rather he had just one child from the previous marriage. I want the focus to be on the new family starting :)
