Mabel is an off-and-on favorite of mine, and I think it would work fine for a baby girl born in current times (at least it would be a unique choice for a girl these days). I think that Mabel is among those old-fashioned names that would be worthy of a comeback.

I think that Mabel is just old-fashioned and un-used enough for it to be acceptable. Mabel is an off-and-on favourite of mine too, it's just staying "on" for a lot longer this time!Thankyou for your reply.
