Hey, I'm just not used to seeing Ignatius under the heading 'more realistic,' that's all. Ignatius is cool, but you have to admit that -- compared to Theodore -- it has an air of ostentatiousness that most people (a.k.a. non-namenerds) find off-putting. This is why many namenerds, even though they might love a name like Ignatius (as an example), might find it 'more realistic' to go with a name like Theodore, which is more popular and familiar to the masses.
As for the nickname thing, I only suggested Rommy because I read Romy as 'RO-mee' and immediately think of it as a nickname for Rosemary. Rommy, on the other hand, I could see as a nickname for Romulus.
