Richard Lucas is a three year old boy from France. His single mother gave him up for adoption at birth. Richard is a shy little boy and he takes a while to warm up to new people. He does like books, however.
Shamira Eidel is a four year old girl from Israel. Her single mother was forced to give her up for adoption. Shamira loves to sing and dance and has no health problems. She also likes playing outside.
Hannah Irit and Marni Orah are sisters from Israel. Hannah is four, and Marni is one. Their parents were killed in a bus bombing on their way home from work one afternoon. Both girls are sensitive to loud noises and airplanes. They are enjoying the novelties at the orphanage and play with dolls and other small toys for hours and hours. Hannah speaks little bit of English, but usually just talks to Marni in Yiddish.
Kamil Slavomir is a five year old boy from Slovakia. His father died when he was two, and his mother cannot support him. He enjoys playing with animals.
