High King Loegaire and Queen Sabia are interested in a betrothal between your Crown Prince Maximilian and their daughter Princess Eithne.I have used a lot of Irish Gaelic names but am very willing to compromise with more traditional royal names for any children from this marriage. Anxiously awaiting your response! :)

Crown prince Maximilian got very excited when he heard the news and we have therefore decided to accept the offer. How many names do you want? My family has five, yours 4. For me it doesn't really matter. :)

I think 4 names would be good that way it's even and if we want to we can each choose two names, something like that. And we're supposed to use at least on name that honors Maximilian and one that honors Eithne so maybe we could start thinking about names.
I'm alright using anglicized forms of the Irish Gaelic names I've used (example: instead of using Eithne using Enya, Etna or even Edna).Below I'll make a list of possible honoring names for each gender. Let me know which names you like and we'll see if we can't come up with some combos.Girls: Eithne, Enya, Etna, Edna, Aithne, Sadb, Sive, Sabia, Orlaith, Orla, Orlagh, Mor, Moirin, Morgan, Jamesina, Nikola, Maxine, LeopoldaBoys: Maximilian, James, Arthur, Leopold, Nikolai, Nikolas WDYT?Princess Eithne Sadb Orlaith Mór & Crown Prince Maximilian James Arthur Leopold Nikolai

Well, I like all the boys names xD
Of the girls I'm fine with using Enya, Orla, Maxine or Leopolda. Maybe Eithne (if you want to use this, it's okey for me), Moirin and Nikola too.I'm fine with using Nicolina or Nicoline too (honors Nikolai) if you prefer that.Which ones are your favorites?

I like Orla, Maxine and Leopolda. Nicolina is also really nice!
What about Orla or Nicolina for the first name of a little Princess? And Maxine and Leopolda can be middle names. For a son, do we want him to be named Maximilian after his father or should we use one of his middle names like Leopold or James?
I was trying to find a name for a son that would honor Eithne too but there weren't any masculine forms of her names. But what about using a form of her surname (Ó Doirnín) like Doirnín, Durnin or Drummond?

I prefer Nicolina over Orla, but we could always use Orla as a MN if you want.
The only idea I came up with from Eithne's name was to use Morgan (Mór) but I don't know what you think. I like Doirnín a lot too so that would be great.
You can pick which of Maximilian's names you want to use. Maximilian, Leopold, Nikolai, James or Arthur?

How about something like Nicolina Maxine Orla Leopolda is it's a girl.
And maybe Leopold James Doirnín Nikolai if it's a boy?
I like these names together pretty well, feel free to change the order of the names if you think it might flow better. And what about nicknames? I was thinking maybe Leo if we were to have a Prince Leopold.

All names doesn't have to honor, and I feel kinda mean if I let three out of four names honor Maximilian, so a new idea is that you pick a name you like instead of one of the honoring names? What do you think?
But I do like the combos, you did a good job! I like Leo as a nickname. Not sure about a nickname for Nicolina. The ones I can come up with is Nico, Lina and Ina. My favorite out of those is Lina but I'm open for new ideas too.

That's sweet of you to let me choose another name for a son. So, what about: Leopold James Doirnín Niall (instead of Nikolai)?
Niall honors Eithne's oldest brother and I kind of liked the flow. I love Lina, what a great suggestion! So if you're agreed our children will be:
Prince Leopold James Doirnín Niall "Leo" - if it's a boy and
Princess Nicolina Maxine Orla Leopolda "Lina" - if it's a girl! :)
