The Fairfax family would like to welcome a new adopted daughter Aravis Bree! It has been almost three years after the birth of Tirian & Rilian and Jane has been unable to conseive. Our hearts have been tugged by the story of one of my co-worker's neices who recently became pregnant at the age of sixteen. She knew she didn't want to get an abortion and yet she really couldn't keep the baby. My wife and I really felt sorry for this girl and wanted to help but didn't know how at first. During this time we had been in contact with an adoption agency and soon after we heard of this poor girl's situation our agent said there was a possibility that we could adopt a neborn if we wanted. Of course we said yes, and as we looked into the situation of the birth-mother we realised it was the same girl we had heard about. We hadn't spent much time this Laura before she told us that she wanted us to adopt her baby. We were surprised and thrilled! My wife got to be there at the birth of this precious baby girl. Jane said she came into the world with her brown eyes wide open staring at everything around her. We had talked about names beforehand and Laura thought it was a cool idea to use names from the Chronicles of Narnia, the only trouble was that she wasn't a fan of the main characters names for girls: Lucy, Susan or Jill! So we searched the books again and found Aravis and Bree in "The Horse and His Boy". Laura really liked these names and so did we! Her nickname is Ara, which we love. Laura is now finishing up high-school and plans to go to nursing school when she's done. We feel so blessed to be able to have helped Laura but also to have a beautiful new daughter.
Tirian & Rilian love their new baby sister and are so helpful and protective of her. We love you Ara!

Ha! The beginning of your story sounds like my RL event of how we adopted Keren and Essie.
I had always wanted to adopt because my brother was adopted and my parents always forced that it was a good thing to adopt (thus my sig). Their mother was just a distant friend of the family and when she became pregnant at age fourteen we agreed to take them. We didn't know it was twins when we agreed either and when she found out it was twins her mother was scared we wouldn't want them both or not at all, but when I found out I thought it was awesome because I'm a twin too!

PS: Did you know you typed "conseive" instead of "conceive"?

That's cool!
I love adoption stories and twins, they are both so special! I feel so sorry for those kids who don't / didn't have a nice home to grow up in like I did. When I get married / have my own place I'd like to consider adoption. There are so many kids out there who need a good home! That's cool that you're a twin too!
PS: No, sorry I didn't know I typed "conseive" instead of "conceive"! Silly me! :)
