I think it's a nice name but something i wouldn't choose if i had a kid right now. Isn't it the name of Cate Blanchett's son (sorry I'm not very in touch with celebrity gossip)?

Yes, Cate Blanchett has a son named Dashiell John (according to imdb.com :b).
