Takashi and Hiroshi are ok... Hiro could be short for many things and ok (as could Jun)... Akira and Kenji are a little old (Kenji puts an old farmer image in my head, but I did have 1 jr. high kid by that name when I came to Jpn. 10 yrs. ago), but may occasionally appear on a 20yr. old... The others are rathr old... Have never met or heard of a Jpns. guy named Ren and I've lived here for some years.

The first day that I was in Japan, I met a little boy about two years old named Kenji.

maybe so, but it's still is thought of more as an old man's name and not so common among young people these days.
