Taylor and Sam advertised the stray Jack brought home in the found ads but no-one claimed the border terrier puppy. They discussed keeping it but decided against it considering the new baby and that Jack wouldn't understand how to treat it properly at his age. Instead Sam's parents agreed to take it in and Jack was able to name it (he called it Travis) and the Gilmores can visit the pup whenever they like.
