[Opinions] WDYTO Flint?
As a first name for a male...

Flint would go nicely with Roger.
First thing that comes to mind is the Flintstones, possibly not a great association! It just feels really un-namey to me. Also reminds me of Clint, which I find awful.
Aside from the obvious associations, I have a rather weird one. I watched various specials with Jane Goodall and one of the chimpanzees she studied in the wild she named Flint. It was a rather sad story:

Anyway, I don't particularly care for the name.

A city of the same name
...in my state is my first thought. Flint, Michigan. o_O I'm sure the city has some redeeming qualities, but it's not a place I would choose to live in--or visit, or even necessarily pass through if it could be avoided. It's my first association for the word right off the bat.
Probably goes without saying that I don't care for it!
