It might be more of a UK thing. Just for me, when I hear Gavin, I think Kevin, Kyle, Tyrone etc.. i.e. chav.

Yes I think of Gavin in the same way as Kevin. I picture a spotty, greasy-haired dim-witted bloke. Not a good image! It's also rather dated over here. I couldn't imagine a Gavin under the age of 20.

Wow...I can't picture a Gavin older than 25 max..lol Mostly under 7 though..lol
