I absolutely adore Lucille as well. I've often considered using it to honour a good friend of mine, Lucy (the one in my profile picture). I think that Lucy would work very well as a nickname for Lucille. You could try that if you think it would fit better?

Cecile is also lovely but I do prefer Cecil or Cecily. They're all beautiful classics though.
