[Opinions] Re: Scottie

What do you think of Scotia nn Scottie for a girl? Scotia is odd/awkward to me because it looks like it should be pronounced scah-shah, like Sasha with a C thrown in. I'm assuming it's sco-tee-ah, since you have the nn Scottie for it. Might throw some readers off (it does me.) As for Scottie, I think it's really cute as a nickname for a character. I do, however, think "Beam me up Scottie!" pretty much instantly.
What do you think would be the best spelling of Scottie for Scotia? Definetly Scottie.
Any other female names that can use the nn Scottie? I like Scholastica/Scottie and have considered using that on a character. The constrast of the ridiculously long, cumbersome name and cute nickname is fun to me.

I pronounce it sco-sha, like the country in Canada.
Scholastica is cool. Do you have any other names like that that Scottie would work as a nn?

Ah...whoops. How could I not think of Nova Scotia? That does sound better. But it doesn't really work for me with Scottie as a nickname.
Um, I couldn't think of any others. These are a big stretch:
Scarlett
Sarita
Sostrate
Stamatia
Sacnite
Crescentia
Yeah, it doesn't seem to really work for many other names. Scarlett is the only one on that list that would really work.
