Lucifer is a big no-no imo. Yes the meaning is great but it is still a word/name for the devil/Satan (It doesn't matter if you believe in it or not). I can't see why anyone would want to name their child Lucifer. Damian is ok but I could never use it (Thanks Omen!)
If you like the name that is pronounced Day-mon I see no reason why you would spell it Demon. The child would be teased and what if it is a real demon child? Use Damon.
