Well, I'm no name expert, but I do know 'lechuga' in Spanish means 'lettuce' if that's any help :)

I just saw this, a little late. Sorry. My Lechugas are from Yuma, Arizona. My tata's family was from Chihuahua. Some of them came from the Satevo region and some from Santa Isabel(?) region. That's two that I can remember right now. I know there's other places. My tata's family had some connection to Ruidosa, TX and El Paso. But I don't know much about that part.
