I don't think it would be a good idea to name twins (or siblings) rhyming names. Imagine calling "Mariel!" in the house, and she and her twin Ariel appear. Or neither of them appear, because they think it's the other one.
And, it gives them even less individuality. It makes twins even more the same! Sure, it's cute -- for the first five minutes. Just imagine if you had a twin named Cara (KER-a).
